Passover in Jerusalem.
I was so happy to have a Passover Seder at a genuine Messianic Jewish family home. A couple living in Jerusalem were so kind to take me in and have me apart of their annual feast. It was so beautiful and a real blessing to my experience here in Israel.
The other pictures show briefly what Jerusalem looked like during the week. Passover is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the story of Exodus in which the Israelites were freed by the hand of God through Moses from slavery in Egypt. It is a festival commanded by God to keep and observe annually that lasts 7 days. Though many Jewish people in America still observe this holiday faithfully, Jerusalem is quite a unique experience during this time. Many Jews come from all around the world to specifically come and pray at the Western Wall, which is perceived to be the most holy site (out side the Temple mount) in Judaism. The Old City was flowing with festivities and other celebratory events commemorating the freedom of Israel and the faithfulness of God. It was so beautiful to see families coming together, dressing nice and coming out of their homes to worship the Lord. Only, please pray they would come to know the Lord Yeshua the Messiah!

I have only taken my camera out a few times so far. I know I will be here a while and I wanted to take in this new place more before I dove in. Life is very active both within the New and Old City. I don’t have a tour guid here but some of the locals have been kind enough to take me around. A lot of the other places are just from walking around on my own, discovering sites and places. Here are just a few shots of my first week here. I am happy to say, I am loving it here. Looking forward for a new project to unfold.
